Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University inaugurated the Swarrnim Atmanirbhar Divyang Cell on 22nd April 2021. To help enhance the employment skills and entrepreneurship scope of people with disabilities in India. The Divyang cell will collaborate with various institutes, organisations, Ngo's and will work for creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The E-inauguration of the cell was presided over by Mr G. N. Nachiya, Director Social Defence and Government of Gujarat. To provide skill development to youth with disabilities, this cell will provide a platform to develop their skill sets, funding support, prototype development support, legal and networking support, mentorship, co-working space facilities. It will help the youth with disabilities to convert their innovative ideas into a revenue generation model.
Swarrnim Start-up and Innovation University successfully signed an MoU in April 2021 with Apang Manav Mandal, Ahmedabad for providing skill-based training to people with disabilities and support start-ups on disabilities and start-ups by people with disabilities.
